Princess Elizabeth (1770 - 1840). Daughter of King George III and Queen Charlotte. After her father went insane her mother insisted on keeping her daughters with her, and forbid them to marry. She was rumored to have secretly married George Ramus and had a daughter with him, although it would have been illegal for her to do this. She married Frederick of Hesse-Homburg in 1818 to get away from her restricted life.
Princess Elizabeth Bagaya, Uganda's first female lawyer and Cabinet member. She was fired as Cabinet member for refusing to marry Idi Amin. She is from the royal family of the Batoro tribe. Princess Elizabeth was on a trip to Kenya when she was informed that her father had died peacefully in his sleep. King George VI's health had been deteriorating since 1948, and he had undergone an operation for cancer in 1951. Although a thunderstorm delayed her return flight, the following day Princess Elizabeth was back in Britain, greeted by Prime Minister Winston Churchill and other officials.
