I have these plastic blinds in my kitchen. They're great because they are easy to keep clean - I pop them into the bathtub with some handy andy to soak and then rinse them clean. But over time they do become dull and grungy and rather than replace them I decided to see how they would look with some spray paint. http://www.home-dzine.co.za/crafts/craft-sprayblinds.htm#
Repaint little plastic chairs for new look! MUST USE PRIMER. I used automotive primer for extra strength, two coats of RUSTOLEUM PAINTERS TOUCH 2X ULTRA COVER (it's the best!!) Plastic Spray Paint + Primer. Final step is to use an AUTOMOTIVE SEALER for top coat to avoid chips... Happy spray painting!!
Seriously though, this Rustoleum spray primer, which is specially formulated for metal applications, works like a dream. It coats thickly, but evenly, and it really sticks to the metal and provides a great new base for your paint to hold on to.
