Slow Cooker Pork and Sauerkraut Dan wanted this for dinner tonight...same recipe his mom gave me over the phone except on here they make it in the crockpot with potatoes. (She also uses a center cut pork roast - but I think it'll be too big for the two of us). We'll see how this goes.
Throw it in the crock pot on New Years Eve before you go out, and dinner the next day will be ready; all you have to do is fix the mashed potatoes. Slow, low cooking makes a roast that is very tender. Delicious!! I used to manage a doctors office, and our Blue Cross rep told me that her family made this every year for New Years.
This easy recipe combines apples, pork roast and sauerkraut in the crock pot for a tasty dinner that takes just minutes to prepare. My family loves it for the tasty combination of flavors, I love it because it is a simple “throw and go” recipe for the slow cooker.
