purchase a sheet of 1/8 inch thick plywood and cut the strips for the trim , cut 2 inch as well as 1 1/4 inch strips.

Beautiful floor made from the ends of 2x4's!! took two days. a heavy bed of Bostic Best adhesive, 25 feet per gallon to act as moisture barrier and glue. Installed on 3/4 plywood Pieces were 3/4 inch thick.sanded, trowel filled with Glitsa wood flour fill, then poly sealed and gave two coats of Bona natural finish.

Excellent idea...... 1/4" thick plywood cut into 4" wide planks & adhered over existing door......cottage look for all of my interior doors & change hardware; paint them the palest shade of gray (very cost effective!)

Marine plywood with a 3mm or 6mm thickness might cost more than alternatives, but you can use different stains to replicate a reclaimed plank wall that is light enough to mount with ease.
