Cement Rag Planters - painted with Rustoleum indoor/outdoor paint and sealed with Seal Krete multipurpose. Thicker, more absorbent towels/fleece make sturdier planters. UPDATE: THESE PLANTERS HAVE BEEN THROUGH 2 YEARS OF USE COMING UP ON 3. SINCE MINE SIT OUTSIDE IN THE SUN AND RAIN I DO NEED TO TOUCH UP SPRAY PAINT A FEW FLAKY SPOTS EACH SPRING. I ALSO PLACE A FEW HEAVY ROCKS IN THE BOTTOM AND USE DROP IN PLASTIC POTS TO HOLD THE PLANTS.

Weathering Plastic

Weathering Plastic Pots: A simulated patina helps faux-clay plastic pots blend in with those made from real terra-cotta. The best candidates for artificial weathering are those with many nooks and crannies, such as this basket-weave planter. You will need acrylic paint in white, lime green, and moss green. - Martha Stewart Crafting
