Picture-Hanging Perfection - When you're hanging a group of pictures, it can be hard to visualize exactly where everything should go. Try this next time: Lay them all out on the floor and get them arranged just how you like them. Then flip them over and make a little diagram of your grouping. Measure the distance of each picture's hanger from the adjacent walls, and jot it down on your diagram. Transfer those hanger locations to the wall and you'll have a perfect grouping every time.
HACKED :: Oversized Frame Hanger :: $24 | Pottery Barn :: Hello?! Why use these expensive "frame hangers" when you can use ANY knob that goes with your decor? Just drill a hole in your wall, insert a plastic anchor & screw in the knob of your choice! (...cutting the knob's screw down a bit if it's too long.) EASY! | #knobs #hack #pb
For an easy way to hang stuff on vinyl siding, make some of these jewels! No screws, tape or command strips. Take a picture hanger, trim the hook and add a zip tie loop. To use, slip the hook under a siding lap and it locks into place. To remove just twist 90 degrees and pull. I looked all over for ideas and finally came up with my own. Enjoy and happy hanging!
Tired of guessing at the location when installing picture hangers on the wall? The problem can be solved by applying tape to the frame’s hanger, and then pushing a thumbtack through the tape as shown here. Perfect Placement. Next, position the frame and push the tack into the wall to get a precise hole for mounting your picture hanger. Remove the tape and the tack, and you’ll be able to hang the frame exactly where you wanted it.
1. Found an old window shutter from the thrift store....$4.00 2. Acrylic paint (brown and teal)....$0.98 each. 3. Elmer's glue....$2.98 Used brown as my base, let it dry then put elmers glue ontop. While the glue was nearly dry but still tacky I applied the teal on top of it. The elmers glue helped give the antique/rustic look. Then I painted some old picture frames!
