Okay so I'm watching saturday nights episode of Doctor Who and just... "Bring the new human." and then "No, don't bring the new human, I'll get distracted" Okay now there's a Grimm and something that looks like Benedict Cumberbatch... About 30 minutes later: NO!!!! WHY WOULD THEY DO THIS TO ME.
With Fires of Pompeii they offered me the part and I didn’t even read the script and said that I just want to do this. But my wife said “No, you mustn’t. You are a professional actor. You have to read the script and see what it’s like.” David was great. He showed me the TARDIS which I found quite moving. I didn’t realise that a few years later I would be “driving” it myself. It is a very wonderful place to be.
Come on! How can people not LOVE him as the doctor?! I love Peter Capaldi's doctor!
Peter Capaldi IS The Doctor. He really understands the show and who the character is. Everything he says here is absolutely true and obvious when one actually pays attention to the show. And anyone who doesn't like Peter as The Doctor because "he's too angry", or "he's too dark", hasn't been paying attention.
Peter Capaldi has become to the new series what Tom Baker was to the older one. The "definite article" you might say. I have been watching Doctor Who since the Tom Baker era and will miss Peter's portrayal of the Doctor as much as I fondly look back on Tom’s.
