Two of over a hundred local farm-raised American bison currently reside on over 180 acres at Sunset Ridge Buffalo Farms, LLC in Person county, NC. Owners Jack and Sandy Pleasant have raised bison since 2001 on Jack's family farmland. They sell their packaged frozen bison meats at the Carrboro and Durham Farmer's markets in the western triangle.
