Sd.Kfz. 121 Panzer II : All Versions and Luchs (Paperback) (Samir Karmieh & Lukasz Gladysiak)
The Panzer II was a light battle tank and inferior to the design of the Allies. Originally it was intended that the Panzer III and IV would be ready before the war began. However, the construction of these tanks was delayed so that both the Panzer I and II would see much more action than had previously been taken into account. The 10-14 mm armor was too weak to withstand anything heavier than a machine gun.
