DIY Painted Plywood Floor - Use a $5 wood-graining tool. I finished painting in only a couple of hours. The next day I used a small palm sander to lightly sand some of the paint back off giving the floor a rustic look. The result is a distressed shabby chic floor that cost almost nothing.
Painted right over the plywood subfloor. I saw Roeshel's fanfreakintastic floors on her blog, DIY Showoff. Cue angels singing, there was the solution. Minus the gorgeous painted rug and any bothersome prep work. I am lazy AND impatient! One little quart of RustOleum Kona Brown.
