great tutorial on organizing and building an organized scrap fabric library for all of those somedayscrappy quilt projects that we all want to make . . . Bee In My Bonnet The three sizes that I use the most and keep in these small baskets are 1 1/2" strips and squares... 2 1/2" strips and squares... And 3 1/2" strips and squares. (I also keep 5", 7" and 10" squares)
Sort your precut fabrics in clear-plastic storage boxes so you can always find the right size you need. These boxes stack easier so you can hide them under a bed or in a closet. Label the boxes for true efficiency.
Exceptional idea for storing scraps sorted by color! tutorial: hanging bags to fit inside of a file drawer. All of her fabrics are folded onto hanging files also. With multiple file cabinets side by side she has packed a lot of well organized storage into a small area and everything is protected from sunlight and dust yet very visual by just pulling open a drawer!
