DOPING: The President of the Australian Olympic Committee, John Coates, has congratulated the Federal Sports Minister, Senator Kate Lundy, after the ASADA Bill passed through the Senate saying it “reinforces the Minister’s strong commitment to the fight against doping in sport in Australia”. “With this legislation and the new powers it provides ASADA, Australia remains at the forefront of the fight against doping in sport,” Coates said.
Trivia: Innsmouth was a finalist for the 1936 Summer Olympic Games (and we can see here the Innsmouth swim team practicing). The town never fully forgave the Olympic committee for passing Innsmouth for the more family-friendly city of Berlin. A shame, really.
