April 24 - a holiday started in New York, where everyone carries a copy of their favorite poem in their pocket all day and carries it with them. A way to get the community and your students involved in celebrating poetry.
This is a "poetry calendar" that can hang in a classroom during April (poetry month). Every day, the teacher can read a poem to the students, and then post it on the calendar for them to go back and review later. A very cute idea to celebrate poetry month in the classroom.
