Last year 54,311 people were served through our Parish Mobile Food Pantry program and 1,371,746 pounds of food distributed!

He's a man with a van — and a mission. Construction worker Carlos Vargas, who started a mobile food pantry four years ago, and his volunteer crew feed up to 150 people a week in the Bronx and Manhattan, at a time when the city’s homeless population is the highest since the Great Depression.

Did you know that March is National Nutrition Month? Earlier this month the Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry and the Northern Illinois Food Bank mobile food truck visited one of our properties to donate food to our residents. They brought plenty of food ranging from frozen meats to fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, canned foods, and bread. People started lining up in the lobby as early as 6a.m.!
