Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial contains the remains of 5,076 American service members. Most of the interred died during the Battle of the Bulge which was fought nearby in the winter of 1944/1945.
The problem is that a vast majority of Americans who want to preach patriotism along with xenophobia/isolationism and vote for YET ANOTHER war when they have never personally seen these kinds of scars that transcend generations and personal memory. They have no idea what they are asking for.

WWI. Pt Ralph D Doughty died of wounds on 25 July 1917 aged 26 years, and is buried at Coxde Military Cemetery, Belgium. On 12 April 1917 he was awarded a Military Cross (MC) conspicious courage and initiative at Hermies on 9 April 1917. His MC was gazetted on 11 October 1917.
WWI. On 29 July 1917 while serving with 105 Howitzer Battery, Gunner Alwyn A T Pringle was killed in action, aged 24, and was buried in the Dickebusch New Military Cemetery Extension, Belgium.
