February 2013 Issue: The Table of Contents

There was a time when Esquire magazine meant something. Go look at their old George Lois covers. Culture-making art. It was bold, ballsy and even controversial. Esquire was for men who knew what it was to be an adult. Now? They're slumming with the lad magazines, which is an idea about 10 past its due date. Putting Megan Fox on the cover is tired. Adding the line "You're Welcome" is lazy. This is the route of Playboy, this is the route to irrelevance and ultimately, extinction.
