You gotta be a serious man to look attractive in tights.... Great Britain's gymnast Max Whitlock competes on the rings during the men's qualification of the artistic gymnastics event of the London Olympic Games on July 28, 2012 at the 02 North Greenwich Arena in London.
Great Britain won three golds in the space of two hours to briefly move above China into second place in the medal table on day nine of Rio 2016. Gymnast Max Whitlock's historic double success on the floor and the pommel horse came either side of Justin Rose's two-shot victory in the golf. That took GB's tally of golds to 13.
Max Whitlock became the first British man in history to win an Olympic gymnastics gold, coming in first place in the floor exercise. A few hours later, he followed it up with another gold on the pommel horse.
