The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe as far as I have learned this is the most accurate book of Marilyn's real life, not what people imagined or thought up or told stories about but what actually happened. She is far more relatable then most people would imagine. This is by far one of my favorite books I have ever read in my life and although it's long ITS SO WORTH IT!
Born Norma Jeane Mortenson in the charity ward of the Los Angeles County Hospital on 1 June 1926. Her mother was Gladys Pearl Monroe and placed her with foster parents Albert and Ida Bolender of Hawthorne, California, where she lived until she was seven.Marilyn had a half-sister, Berniece Baker Miracle. The girls did not learn of each other until Berniece was 19 and Norma Jeane 12. Marilyn left $10,000 to Bernice in her will.
