"Does Your Chewing Gum Lose it's Flavor on the Bedpost Overnight?" Lonnie Donegan.

Some of you might know this song covered by others on into the 60s - but it was Irishman Lonnie Donegan who first hit with 'Does Your Chewing Gum Lose Its Flavor (on the bedpost overnight) in 1959 - it hit in the US in 1961 and was another one of the songs I drove my parents nuts with singing and playing it.

April 1960, Lonnie Donegan, My Old Man's a Dustman. The King of Skiffel Music. ' My old man's a dustman, he wears a dustman's hat, he wears cor blimey trousers and he lives in a council flat."

Sloop John B...Van Morrison...w/a special dedication to my life long friend, John Lemons. Our mothers shared a room in the maturity ward @ NC Baptist Hospital and then we moved onto Westridge Rd with only 1 house in between us. Johnny B is truly my brother from another mother!
