What's better than a boat-ride around lower Manhattan on a beautiful day? A free one! If you haven't yet, you must take a trip on the Staten Island Ferry.

I was terribly excited to see the Statue of Liberty so as we drove closer to Liberty State Park in New Jersey and I could start to see her, I was as giddy as a kid on Christmas Morning! From the park we could see the Twin Towers which were still standing at that time. We then took a ferry to Liberty Island, passing Ellis Island en route. It was just as cool as I thought it'd be : )
