#Astronomy: An international team of astronomers, led by David Sobral from Leinden University of the Netherlands used three telescopes located across the globe to study the trends in star formation, from the earliest stars that made up the first galaxies in the universe, up until now. Their findings suggests something quite shocking .. almost 95% of stars that will ever live have already been born!
Called the eXtreme Deep Field, or XDF, the photo was assembled by combining 10 years of NASA Hubble Space Telescope photographs taken of a patch of sky at the center of the original Hubble Ultra Deep Field. The XDF is a small fraction of the angular diameter of the full Moon. Image released September 25, 2012.
Pieterskerk, Leiden Prof. mr Gerlacus Scheltinga was born in Leeuwarden, Friesland in 1708, studied law at the Franeker and Leiden Universities. At the latter he taught law from 1738 to 1765. He died February 9th 1765 and was buried in the Pieterskerk , February 16th 1765.
