Got leftover rice? I put in a cinnamon stick while it was cooking. You can omit raisins if you like. My daughter wanted raisins then pitched a fit when I put them in...luckily they are easy to take out if you have a picky eater!
Grandma's Rice Pudding Recipe:with its custard-like layer on the top. We added a 1/2 tsp vanilla and 1/2 tsp cinnamon, just our taste. We enjoyed warm or cold, with milk. So easy and a great way to use up leftover rice.
Easy Rice Pudding . 1 cup cooked white rice 1 cup milk 5 tsp sugar dash salt 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/4 tsp cinnamin In a saucepan, combine rice, milk, sugar, and salt. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat for 20 minutes or until thickened, stirring often. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Spoon into serving dishes and enjoy warm.
