Pecan Kringle Recipe - Cook’s Country. In Wisconsin (my homeland!) kringle is the king of Christmas desserts. This buttery Danish from Racine is rich and flaky and usually filled with something sweet.

Swedish Kringla

Kringla - My dad (b. 1921) told me his mother (100% Norwegian) would make these for Christmas when he was a little boy. They are a short bread cookie, not too sweet, excellent for dipping in a glass a milk too :)
