International Dot Day Lesson Plan - International Dot Day, a celebration of creativity, courage and collaboration. Students are introduced to the experimentation with color mixing, and create a piece of art to be part of a large, collaborative exhibit…
Response after reading Todd Parr books. Note to self: Use 18x18 paper. Draw a circle with your whole arm. Water colours. Then, trace pencil lines with black water colour (I did that step for my kinders).
This worksheet is for the beginning of the year in Kindergarten art. I have students follow along as we draw all seven types of lines. The way that they complete the last two "challenge lines" helps me to determine the level of difficulty that would suit them best.
Cute turtles make testing days much more fun.I love these little turtles so much and so do my kindergartners. This may just be the Night of the Arts project for kindergarten next year. This lesson took three days. On the first, we mixed green paint and painted the paper plate. During the next class, we printed circles and traced the legs and head. We drew the eyes with oil pastel, cut out the pieces, and glued it all together using glue sponges during the last class.
