Kenneth Grahame (B. March 8, 1859, Edinburgh, Scotland - D. 1932) Kenneth Grahame was not a happy man in his life or in his career: he wrote all his life and had success with only one immortal book. One hopes that the fact that The Wind in the Willows has brought so much happiness to so many people is some comfort to his soul.

Edinburgh-born Kenneth Grahame March 1859 – 6 July was a Scottish writer, most famous for The Wind in the Willows one of the classics of children's literature. He also wrote The Reluctant Dragon; both books were later adapted into Disney films
