In this variation of the same exercise, the working leg is bent slightly and raised to just below hip level. Make sure your stomach and thigh are engaged. Point the toe and imagine you are tapping the ceiling with your foot. Engage only your glute to lift the leg in an upward motion. Start with 10 reps and build to 20. After each set, you can sit back in child’s pose to rest.
