Kant's categorical imperative

Kant's Categorical Imperative is a moral law that states the conditions for when a maxim (a statement of what to do) is morally obligatory. The Imperative takes many formulations but the most common is of 'Universalisability' - only do that which you will to be a universal law for everyone, everywhere, at all times.

Immanuel Kant's famous phrase that is indeed in my opinion absolute. A simple yet highly overlooked philosophy by many as displayed by the horrific acts harm and violence we have encountered in our time.

This article contrasts with care ethics. This article is regarding the Deontological ethics and Kantian ethics which identify the moral structure as strictly right/wrong without taking consequences into consideration. Care ethics show a connection between emotion and justice and sometimes choose the morally wrong thing to do because they display care for the situation and believe it will be the better choice.
