What High School Means to Me

I thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. I think of you in silence. I often speak your name. All I have are memories, and your picture in a frame. Your memory is my keepsake, with which I'll never part. God has you in His keeping...I have you in my heart.

This really made me pause and reevaluate my mindset as a Senior and as a person in general. I've been so set on leaving that I need to appreciate the smaller aspect that I'm going to miss once I'm actually gone. So thank you.

I need to remember this as I begin my son's last year at home. In a little over a year, we'll be saying good bye as he heads off to college. Making everyday special and every moment count will take my mind off of counting down the days.
