Courage! Olympic cyclist Joanna Rowsell was diagnosed with alopecia, which causes loss of hair from the head or body, at the age of 10. She first lost an eyebrow, then within months began losing clumps of her auburn hair. Soon she began to lose eyelashes.  While in everyday life she often wears a wig, she proudly competes bald beneath her helmet and has become a poster girl for the condition.
