OXNARD, Calif. – Jerry Jones will turn 75 on Oct. 13 of this year. There are many out there thinking he’s becoming overly sentimental in his advancing age. That he continues to tear up when he speaks of his kids; the old days; how mighty fortunate he’s been to have thrown everything he had into the Cowboys at the beginning and end up where he is today.
"Feb 12: Tom Landry, the Dallas Cowboys first head coach, died on this day in 2000 at age 75 after battling leukemia. Landry coached the Cowboys from their inception in 1960 until being fired by Jerry Jones before the 1989 season. He led the Cowboys to twenty consecutive winning seasons (1966-85), 20 playoff wins, 12 NFL/NFC championship game appearances, five Super Bowl appearances and two Super Bowl titles. Landry was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990."
