A Stolen Life: A Memoir by Jaycee Dugard Hers is a story of her being yanked out of her normal life at the age of 11; spending 18 years imprisoned by the convicted rapist Phillip Garrido and his wife, Nancy; and bearing two daughters by Mr. Garrido. She describes these events with dignified, hard-hitting understatement, recreating her initial naïveté about the monstrousness of her situation.
"A Stolen Life" by Jaycee Dugard (An amazing account of what Jaycee Dugard went through as a young girl abducted by a very sick individual who kept her captive for 18 years, before she was able to break free from his physical and emotional jail. Having a young daughter myself, I felt sick to my stomach as I imagined what I'd do in such a position, especially as Jaycee recounted all the horrid details of what she had to endure. Though difficult to read at times, I'd highly recommend this.)
GNT - Jaycee Dugard, 18 years in Captivity - (Subtitles in Portuguese) Jaycee Dugard stuck in captivity for 18 years. She was kidnapped when she was 11 years old and suffered constant abuse, Jaycee was walking to school in South Lake Tahoe, CA, when she was kidnapped by the couple Phillip and Nancy Garrido. During the time that she was held in a tent in the garden of Garrido, Jaycee had 2 daughters with the kidnapper, the first one born when she was just 14 years.
Such a horrifying story, but so fascinating...the story of Jaycee Dugard's captors and their lives with her...She was kept in their backyard in confinement for 18 years after being kidnapped in 1991, and was found alive and healthy in 2009, after giving birth to two daughters, fathered by her kidnapper. An amazing story.
A Stolen Life by Jaycee Dugard ~ I just got done reading this. Such a strong girl/woman during and after what she went through. Definitely an eye opener on how lazy and irresponsible our court system is when it comes to punishing & keeping track of sex offenders.
