Marine 1stLt. Dustin M. Shumney, 30, of Vallejo, California. Died January 26, 2005, serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Died of injuries sustained when the CH-53E Super Stallion troop transport helicopter he was in crashed in a sandstorm near Rutbah, Anbar Province, Iraq.
