The exhilaration of crossing the finish line outweighs the countless hours of pain, punishment, and torture we put our bodies through.

Love the run! Respect the distance. Do the work! By the time I'm 21 I want to run my first half marathon. By the time I'm 24 after my masters degree I wanna run my first full marathon.

Marathons are intriguing before you actually run one...then it becomes a love/hate thing. Miles 1-15 seem to fly by (love), 15-25 take a year (hate) then at 26 you can't believe it's over and consider doing it again. Crazy!

Well now that I've done a marathon here's my thoughts: At mile more was all that was going through my head. At mile the finish line seemed so close yet so far away. At mile I could hardly believe it. At mile there was NO better feeling :)
