Ian Rankin. Okay, I admit I haven't read his works yet, but Ian Rankin comes highly recommended by Anthony Bourdain (he can make even bacon sound good - I hate bacon), and I tend to listen to what AB has to say. I sat down with a Rankin novel, &, all influences aside, have to say I'm now sucked in. Besides, just look at this guy! That ALONE is an intense experience (I feel a S. King vibe coming on)...
