This mansion, along the Hudson River, was the weekend and summer retreat of Frederick William Vanderbilt, grandson of Cornelius "The Commodore" Vanderbilt. It is considered the most symbolic of the great Hudson River estates of the Gilded Age.
The old railroad bridge that is now a State Park called "Walkway over the Hudson". Best time to walk the bridge is in the Fall. Effendy County, Hudson Valley, NY because I live in Texas and we have NOTHING like this!
