I consider myself a literacy sponsor for my younger brother, Tim. As a seventh grade boy, he is not the most excited about reading, especially books for school. I consider it my job to try to engage him in reading, so I usually read books first and give him a convincing summary that encourages him to read it next so we can talk about it. So far this has worked with the Hunger Games trilogy and he just started the first Divergent book over winter break.
