On February 21st, 1913, celebration of the three hundred year anniversary of the reign of the House of Romanov began in Petersburg. The final day of celebrations was marked by a state dinner for 1100 invited guests, held in four halls of the Winter Palace.

Michael I (1596 - 1645). Tsar of All Russia from 1613 until his death in 1645. He married twice and had ten children. He was the first Tsar from the House of Romanov. His reign marked the end of the time of troubles.

Great-grandchild of Christian IX - Alexei Nikolaevich (1904 – 1918) of the House of Romanov, was the heir apparent to the throne of the Russian Empire. He was the youngest child & the only son of Tsar Nicholas II & Alexandra Feodorovna. He was born with hemophilia; his mother's reliance on the starets Grigori Rasputin to treat the disease helped bring about the end of the Romanov dynasty. He was murdered alongside his parents & four sisters in 1918
