We headed to Nice after Marseille and it was a much-needed change of pace. We took the opportunity to slow down and really enjoy some down time just strolling the streets and drinking rosé on the beach. I was actually scheduled to head home half way through our time in Nice, but decided to stay with my friends and continue onto Paris with them!
Much like the Old Towns in Munich, Prague and elsewhere across Europe, the Old Town in Nice was filled with history and culture. I loved getting lost in the maze of cute boutiques and cafes. This was the romantic atmosphere I had been hoping to find in Paris, but I guess I just needed to head further south!
Paris – Porte de Vanves. The weekend flea market near the Porte de Vanves metro stop in Paris is one of the very best in France, in terms of size and the eclectic nature of its wares. On Saturday and Sunday (Saturday is perhaps busier) morning, more than 300 vendors set up here until around 1pm (though a small number stay later).
