One of the major challenges facing veterans is homelessness. Of the 636,017 homeless people in the United States, 67,495 are veterans. Veterans are twice as likely to become chronically homeless as other Americans. This is due, in part, to veterans’ heightened risk of unemployment, foreclosure and poverty.
Given that homelessness is an extreme form of poverty, it is one measure that can be used to identify how Australian youth are coping financially. As shown by this Homelessness Australia graph, people up to the age of 24 make up 42% of those classed as homeless.
Triggers of Homelessness. Notice how only 9% is from drugs and alcohol? I'm so sick of hearing people judge and condemn the homeless.. For those 9% so what show them compassion as well it is not our place to judge it's our place to show love and compassion and be the hands and feet of Jesus!

Homeless Statistics within the USA is often not visible mainly due to the wide expansion of wealth throughout the majority of metropolitan areas. Even though, almost the entire population of the United States has adequate housing and decent living conditions, homeless people still exist across the country due to a wide number of factors.
