"Henry Ford posing with his first car (the 1896 quadricycle) and the 10 millionth Model T Ford. This photograph was taken during the celebrations for the 30th anniversary of the Ford Motor Company." On September 27, 1908, the first Model T automobile was produced. This engineering achievement was due to the vision, ingenuity and risk-taking of Henry Ford. His innovation of assembly line production would make the automobile affordable to the average person.
Henry Ford had an engine running by 1893 but it was 1896 before he built his first car. By the end of the year Ford had sold his first car, which he called a Quadracycle, for 200 and used the money to build another one.
