The Three Horseshoes is a traditional 16th-century canalside pub with exposed beams, fireplaces and nook and cranny seating. This pub is in Winkwell, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England besides the Grand Union Canal. On a lovely English summer day a cold beer watching the barges go by. Gorhambury House, St Albans, Hertfordshire - Impressive Palladian house built in the years 1777-84 with monumental portico designed by Sir Robert Taylor & commissioned by James Bucknall Grimston, 3rd Viscount Grimston. It replaced Old Gorhambury House, which was left to fall into ruin on the property. It remains the home of the Earl of Verulam.
