Harold Ramis passed away early Monday morning, February 24, 2014, from complications of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis. He was 69 years old. Probably most known for his role in the Ghostbuster movies, he co-wrote Animal House, wrote Caddyshack and Groundhog Day; both of which he also directed. Chevy Chase stated that it was Ramis who gave him the inspiration for his vacation character Clark Griswold.
