He eventually added singer and actor to his resume. He won a Tony, and an Emmy. Died young of liver cancer. There is no info indicating when Hines became Catholic. It may have been during his engagement to a Catholic (Ukrainian rite) woman before his death. He did practice his faith. Had a Catholic funeral and burial in Canada.
