Glenda FARRELL (1904-1971) * AFI Top Actress nominee. Notable films ~ Mystery of the Wax Museum (1933); Gold Diggers of 1935 (1935); Gold Diggers of 1937 (1936); Little Caesar (1931); The Talk of the Town (1942). Mostly played supporting roles, but best remembered as a hard-boiled, fast-talking (she was able to speak 390 words in a minute) reporter Torchy Blaine in the film series of the same name.
