MISS. ANNIE KIP HAYES SOUTHERN FOLK ART by Kip Hayes. Kip Hayes, Broussard Louisiana Artist Statement I am a Louisiana artist, who enjoys painting scenes from the South. My canvas ranges from 100 year old cypress boards to the conventional canvas. I enjoy experimenting on different surfaces, the effects are quite interesting! Having grown up on a farm in Louisiana, my paintings portray Louisiana landscapes, real people and life styles I experienced as I grew up.
