cut piece, yoko ono, 1965. performed at carnegie hall, new york city, new york. the piece consisted of yoko impassively sitting on stage with a pair of scissors at her side then inviting the audience to come and cut off pieces of her clothing and take them away.
Fluxus was founded as an international publishing company. Games, printed materials, and other multiples by various artists were united by George Maciunas’s unique design sensibility and brilliant typography.
