My Year 9s were still struggling with expanding binomials when we got to worded problems, so I did this little matching activity with them. Each pair of students was given an envelope with jumbled slips of paper and they had to put the solution in order and match the explanations to each line of working.

This 20-question circuit builds from multiplying a monomial with a binomial to multiplying binomials, expanding a binomial squared, multiplying a binomial with a trinomial  and even multiplying trinomials.  Difference of Squares and Sum/Difference of cubes are here in disguise.
