As luck would have it, I happened to drop in to Silverton for a quick afternoon pit stop when I heard a steam whistle much later in the afternoon than usual. Upon further inspection, it was the D&S railfan weekend, and the wonderful 2-8-0 #315 was leading an evening round trip from Silverton to Elk Park. So I hung around for an extra hour to check out the return trip, shown here crossing in the Animas River.
