Train passes for travel within Spain and Portugal. There is a night train departing daily from Madrid at 22:45 and arriving to Lisbon at 8:14. It has good reputation, goes quite slowly to allow you to sleep and arrive there just at the beginning of the morning, you don't loose a day and you save a hotel night. The train has cafeteria and restaurant, and departs from Madrid Chamartín station (subway: Chamartín, line 10).
