SHREDDED ELK SANDWICHES! Great slow cooker recipe! You can use elk or venison for this and the long, slow cook will take away most of the "gamey" flavor creating one of the best pulled meat sandwich around. I recommend serving on an onion bun.
Elk Roast Dry Rub: Coffee and Brown Sugar Rub for 24 hours. Then seared it in a 10 1/4 cast iron skillet with butter and a little more brown sugar. Sliced it like a tri-tip. RUB: Ground Dark Roast coffee, dark brown sugar, chili powder, paprika, coriander, oregano and kosher salt.
